About the artist: Andrea’s creative journey began in New York City, where she studied Display and Exhibit Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. Along the way, she explored prop making and discovered silversmithing — a class that sparked her love for creating on a smaller, more intimate scale. After moving to Virginia Beach, Andrea found inspiration along the shoreline, collecting seashells during quiet beach walks. What began as a creative outlet soon became a passion — blending natural shells with gemstones using wire and cord to create functional, wearable art. Over time, her work evolved to include copper and sterling silver, transforming coastal finds into handcrafted statement pieces. Today, Andrea’s jewelry has been featured at local art markets throughout Hampton Roads, the Hermitage Museum Gift Shop, the D’Art Center, and in her online Etsy shop.
